Finished the final wall of the Station Master’s living room

I’ve painted the door with the same brown but with a few drops of white so you can differentiate between the door and architrave

The cut out to the right is to allow for the thickness of the front window and the gap below the skirting board is to allow for a floor that will go in last

I didn’t originally allow for an interior, hence it being so tiny, however I’ve enjoyed doing it

Having three sons I never had the opportunity to build a dolls house so until we’re blessed with a granddaughter this is the closest I’ll get :laugh_mini:

Looks good.   I'm 29 and I can't work that small.

Thank you

At 44 I have a lot more patience than I had in my late twenties (probably down to my eldest son having autism) it’s just a shame my eyesight isn’t as good as it was then

This topic is becoming very surreal.

I just cannot fathom how you are getting so much detail in bearing in mind it is OO scale.

I shudder to think what you could do in O scale let alone 1:1.

Hat's off my friend!

It’s not unheard of for me to go off at a tangent both in modelling and in life

It was only after installing the lighting that I realised you could see in to what were bare plain grey walls

As far as 1:1 scale......I hate wallpapering, I can never align the pattern properly

Having finally read through the entire thread, I can honestly say that your work is among the best I've seen and it's certainly very inspiring.

I don’t know about being amongst the best I just try and do the best I can but thank you for the compliment :)

Started on the gutters and downpipes, managed to shorten a downpipe to suit (if I told you how I did it you wouldn’t believe me)

I need to re-weather the guttering due to having to do a paint touch up

Go on, then. How did you do it!?

By the way, I think this is the first I've commented on this topic but I've been following it for a while, really impressive modelling!

I cut the downpipe below the top mounting bracket, drilled a hole in the underside, then cut the remaining downpipe to the length required and glued it into the hole....sounds simply but it was quite fiddly

I’ve at least made a start on one of the chimneys

I didn’t like the chimney pots that come with the kit, not tall enough IMO

So I’ve cut them off and drilled holes ready to accept something else

And as per usual I’m going too far with some thin plasticard

But it might not work
