How about this one? A bit grainy I'm afraid.... Taken from Dracula's place on the hill of I think 156484, because it was one of the early pictorial livery Northern units.
Railfreight1998
Sprinter crossing skatie viaduct south of Muchalls with a service to Inverurie. A southbound train would look much better going over here though; the structure of the bridge would obscure the train less.
RMweb Gold The Pilotman Posted June 19, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 19, 2020 (edited) A very clean class 166 hurries along the down relief line towards Twyford on a Paddington to Oxford train in the mid 90s. In the background, signal R179 is off for a Paddington-bound HST to cross from the up relief to the up main line at Ruscombe. 17A
While on my all-line rover ticket last September. I had my digs for the night booked in Edale. So while walking along the footpath I could hear this East Midlands Railway service snaking through the valley floor, bound for Nottingham/ Norwich. 13th September 2019 Regards Ross

Popular Post Ben B
I found a few more of the Worth Valley DMU fleet, starting with the (now out-of-service) 108 at Ebor Lane... And then a couple of unusual 101 views... dropping-down into Keighley... ...and finally, heritage unit in a modern suburban landscape, at Ingrow.

With the sunsetting in the west over Leeds, it's most likely 1E63, 15.26 Plymouth to York (21.46) which is booked to reverse during its call at Leeds between 21.02 and 21.09 and is then routed to York via Leeds West Junction, Methley Junction and Milford Junction, picking up the usual route to York at Church Fenton. As it's the only 'class 1' Cross Country working to York booked this way from Leeds I assume it's for crew route knowledge retention purposes in case of a potential divert. As you may know, there are also daily very early morning/late evening ECS Cross Country workings between Leeds and York to and from Crofton depot that pass Midland Road depot. Popular Post dibber25
My all-time favourite DMU picture, taken on a Kodak Brownie when I was 17. Derby (reduced to 2-car) unit at Savernake Low Level on a Newbury-Westbury working in the summer of 1964. Though the West signal box survived for a long time after the station closed, there is now nothing left at this site and it is heavily overgrown. RMweb Premium Davexoc Posted July 19, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 19, 2020 Here is a DMU in the jungle that sprung up around Didcot. There is some steelwork on the avoider that is rapidly being consumed by nature though. When they finally come to electrify to Oxford, it will probably have disappeared...
