LTechG
Recently bought a Bachmann class 37 "Tre Pol and Pen" Testing it and found that when the lights were switched on, only the front lights worked. When the direction was reversed, same thing happened. I believe the loco is fitted with an 8 pin decoder socket though can't be sure. Don't know what decoder either. Is there an easy solution to this problem before I get my screwdrivers out to remove the body and start checking wiring? Any help gratefully received. reevesthecat
The first Bachmann Class 37's didn't have tail lights. My 37429 doesn't have them. Not sure which batch your model comes from. Thanks Mark
georgeds
Earlier Bachmann 37s aren't fitted with tail lights, if this is an early release that will explain the missing lights.
shibushe
IF, its not an earlier model, then its possible the lighting contacts are not touching between the body and PCB. Have had this problem my self. A gentle bending up usually fixes it.
LTechG
Need to get the body off and have a look I think. Concensus seems to be that earlier models didn't have rear lights. Many thanks for all the replies. Barry
RMweb Gold BoD Posted July 22, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 22, 2018 If it's an earlier model with no rear lights then no need to take the body off to check that. It's fairly obvious that you are just looking at moulded plastic. If there's obviously an LED there, or you wish to fit your own rear lights, then the body needs to come off. Ken.W
If you're hauling a train with it and not just running it light engine, it shouldn't have the rear lights on anyway
