Killybegs
Can anyone point me in the direction of pics of a prototype similar to the kit suppled by Knightwing Models?
Pugsley
Search Fotopic for Ipswich fuelling point. Here's one to start you off: http://newimages.fotopic.net/?iid=ywub4n&outx=600&noresize=1&original=1&nostamp=
Killybegs
Search Fotopic for Ipswich fuelling point. Here's one to start you off: http://newimages.fot...nal=1&nostamp=1 Couldn't get that connection to work but found one shot in Fotopic, unfortunately the fueling point is obscured by stock. I found another couple of pics in http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/gb/diesel/57/FL/pix.html where the fueling point is partially visible. Still searching! Will Vale
Some great modellable details in there - I love the BR double arrow and fairy lights on one hut and the moss roof on the other. Cheers Martin!
Killybegs
I see 'Ernie' has a pic of Ipswich as well http://erniesrailwayarchive.fotopic.net/p63256928.html
Will Vale
Does anyone have any pictures of Ipswich fuelling point from a more overhead (or close-up) perspective? Everything I can find is from the station platform so it's hard to make out what's going on at and below rail level. I had a look Bing (ex-MSN) maps, they have some aerial views which are good for layout but they aren't very detailed. I'm trying to figure out what I need in terms of drains, mesh, gunge etc. on the concrete pad around the fuelling road and inspection pit. Thanks! alcazar
Try www.multimap.com, click on "Birds eye view". You can rotate and zoom in.
Will Vale
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately MultiMap is "from Bing" according to the subtitle, and shows the same imagery. It's frustrating, one or two more levels of zoom would be enough Will
