Windmill lane (009 gauge micro layout)

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. So i thought I would share my latest layout. It all started a few months ago when I acquired the Dapol windmill kit. Having finished the kit, I decided it needed a home. So this is what I came up with.

This is my first venture into 009, And i like what can be fitted into a small space. The layout measures 70cm x 54cm. All the track is Peco set track. The windmill and cottage are both Dapol kits, the barn is a Wills kit and the station building is Peco. The figures are from monty’s and the horse and cart are from Dartcasting.

I really like all the little details and the fact that everything is Matt. What is the fiddle yard like?

Thank you Luke. The fiddle yard is just a single track that runs round the back. The controller and two battery boxes one for the station lamp and one that powers the windmill are also just behind the back scene. I will hopefully make a video of the windmill working and trains running in the next couple days, and post it on here.

Regards Paul.

Just found this lovely little layout and what great modeling.  :) What make are the coaches Howl03?  Are they RTR? They are just size i'm looking for   :nowinkclear:

Thank you Bob. The coaches are RTR from Peco. Definitely Ideal for small layouts.

Just looking at your wonderful layout Paul. I see you are using settrack points but do you find at problems with Loco stalling etc

Johna

Thank you Johna. No problems at the moment with the set track point. Although I only have the one 009 locomotive, and this runs on a very reliable Kato chassis.

Regards Paul.

Decided to add some passengers to the coaches. The figures are from Dart Castings. I first stuck them to a piece of wood and sprayed them black then built up the layers using games workshops paints.

A new arrival at Windmill lane. A Baldwin class 10-12-D ‘peggy’ by Bachmann. Need to weather and add loco crew. Really impressed at how well it runs especially at low speed.

Paul you have a lovely little micro layout. The modelling within the layout is nicely done and the weathering on the Baldwin is nice. Thanks for sharing.;)

Thank you for your comment. Painting figures and doing Scenics is the thing I love most about this hobby.
