Hi,

Could you please tell me who the manufacturer of the '56 is? Thanks.

Hi APT Fan, I think it is a PMRP Kit, I bought it as you see it, complete with Sound fitted. Father Dougal is just building a 56 from a Kit in this section somewhere, that may help.

I'm a bit confused? You've used a bag of OO ballast and then formed it into a mound using PVA glue? I'm guessing that isn't the final colour?

Thanks.

No, No my friend, Look at the second picture in that post, the load is a plastic moulding that comes with the wagon. I will eventually cover it in PVA and then Ballast.

Here is that 2nd pic again for clarity, this is the moulding up side down with the magnets glued in.

Hope that helps.

The original Trebudoc, as exhibited at the Elizibethan Railway Show in 2012. People looked but did not linger, I think it was just to dirty and grubby.

So the day after the Show, I stripped it down.

Turned it 180 degrees.

Added the Station.

And made it pretty with Station Lights and Flower Beds etc.

It then returned in 2013 to a really good reception from the public.

For anyone struggling to see where things were, this might help a bit. There was a dirt track nearest to the camera that went around the back of the buffers.

Trebudoc was a great layout to work - 2013 - just shows how the time goes.

Yes Peter, the good old days of you, George and Mike, working as a Team, with LOTS of Bacon Butties, Tea, Coffee and CAKES.:good:

I have a few 56's but they are all OO gauge, I haven't come across an O gauge version from any of the main manufacturers (I have now seen Dougal's thread). However, I have noticed that Heljan are due to release a 56 model early next year. Looks an interesting project, especially the 'provision for a smoke unit'.

Yes indeed, The Heljan one should be really good. I have most of the Heljan Vairients, except the 31, soon to be added, and a Peak. Also I don't have their small 03 and 05 Shunters, as I don't feel they would fit with the Layout.

Nice photo's Andy, I enjoyed the original Trebudoc, I'm sure I remember seeing it at one of our RMweb days.

Yes  indeed you may have done at Stafford, I had 2 Layouts there that year, I think the other was Deesdale Road, again in it's original formation as a short Modern Terminus Station.

Glad your enjoying the photos Steve.:good:

Thanks Don, Yes, I did enjoy looking back through them as well. they do provide inspiration for other things, and as I have 3 x 16T Minerals and a couple of OO Points left over, one never knows what might be lurking around the corner. haha.:good:

Found the pics Steve, it was 2012, and it wasn't Deesdale Road, it was Loch Leven.

Here is Mike at the controls of Trebudoc, unfortunately he now has Alsimerz and is in a bad way.

And Peter BB with Sue, one of our Club Members wives at the controls.
