Rudititanic
Newman Miniatures is pleased to announce a new foray into 009 scale narrow gauge models with a series of models not previously available in this scale. The news is genuine, the models real, but the prototype is the joke: freelance rolling stock inspired by the delightful cartoons of Roland Emett. Here we have ‘Ethel’ (an express 0-2-0 tender engine), ‘Gladys’ (an 0-4-0 mixed traffic engine), ‘Felicity’ (an 0-4-0 tank engine) and a matching coach. All simple to build, each engine is fully motorised and will offer something truly different to a layout! https://www.shapeways.com/product/UFN7BVKS6/far-twittering-locomotive-ethel https://www.shapeways.com/product/LNTC8V7E5/far-twittering-locomotive-felicity https://www.shapeways.com/product/2P6ZFVWNG/far-twittering-locomotive-gladys https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZQLT7RAAX/far-twittering-gladys-tender https://www.shapeways.com/product/PYDA4526W/far-twittering-coach

Rudititanic
New release: easily fill coaches and crowd scenes with these simple Victorian figures in period costume from the 1840-60s. Available standing or seated, six different costumes (three male, three female) and a variety of different poses mean each of the 48 figure is different. Once painted in contemporary colours they should help quickly populate any Era I layout. https://www.shapeways.com/product/MAMC9JKXK/n-gauge-victorian-passengers-standing https://www.shapeways.com/product/KSSYA66NV/n-gauge-victorian-passengers-seated
Rudititanic
The first of several models in development is progressing well - the N Gauge Beyer-Ljungstrom Turbine Locomotive. Some fine-tuning is being made to the boiler section prior to release, but the turbine/condenser section shows the detail being included. Designed as a relatively simple model to build, development research conversely was no easy task! 4
Rudititanic
Our newest release is the culmination of a long-term project: a complete 'starter set' in broad gauge! Along with track and rolling stock our first 7-foot (and a quarter inch) gauge locomotive is now available: the iconic North Star. Take a look at it in action: https://www.shapeways.com/product/AG9RNTSWD/north-star-broad-gauge-locomotive-n-scale https://www.shapeways.com/product/2L97R8EJX/north-star-broad-gauge-tender-n-scale 8
Rudititanic
I mentioned producing a box-like prototype, and here it is: the LNER Y10 Sentinel in N and 00. In use from 1930 to 1952, they are best known for their trials on the iconic Wisbech & Upwell Tramway. https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZRK9JMSMD/n-gauge-y10-lner-sentinel-shunter https://www.shapeways.com/product/AHJ4R34RL/00-scale-y10-lner-sentinel-shunter 5
RMweb Gold Corbs Posted June 12, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 12, 2020 Nice one! Is it designed to fit a specific chassis?

Yes they are, the Tenshodo aka Hanazono motor bogie (24.5mm wheelbase, 10.5 diameter disc wheels) for 00 or the Tsugawa Micro loco n-gauge chassis – TU-7T in N Gauge. All details of chassis/wheels etc for each model are included on their respective pages.

Rudititanic
Our latest release is the highly unusual LMS-run Beyer Ljungstrom turbine engine of 1926. Actually used on commercial services, this locomotive can claim the peculiar wheel arrangement of be a 4-2-2-2+0-6-4! Now available in N Gauge, this fully motorised model is a monster at six inches long over buffers - slightly larger than Flying Scotsman... https://www.shapeways.com/product/24BBYDDG5/n-gauge-beyer-ljungstrom-turbine-locomotive-1 https://www.shapeways.com/product/EPSFX7JR2/n-gauge-beyer-ljungstrom-turbine-locomotive-2
Florence Locomotive Works
Does the Beyer lay claim to be the last steam powered standard gauge outside frame loco built in the U.K.?

Interesting thought, though the recycled 'Dukedogs' technically postdate. Must have been one of the last designs though.
Rudititanic
Just completed a second model of C&WR engine Invicta (in N but also designed for 00), this one complementing the as-built version with a rendition of her as-preserved form. Now sporting a flue boiler, this was a case of rebuilding using obsolete technology! As with Rocket, it is certainly interesting to compare how these engines were modified over their careers.
Rudititanic
I’m pleased to present my latest finished project, arguably my most ambitions to date: a fully functional N Scale rendition of the iconic Listowel & Ballybunion Lartigue monorail. Track, rolling stock and even the ‘flying gate’ level crossing are now available as 3D prints, building into static or working models of these remarkable trains. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/newman-miniatures?section=N+Lartigue+Monorail&s=0 Showcasing these new models, I have also constructed a dedicated micro-layout, Road to Listowel. Recreating an original crossing on the Listowel-Ballybunion Railway, it made for an interesting challenge resulting in what I hope will be considered a realistic-looking rendition. Time to get back to designing some ‘easier’ standard gauge models though! 7 5

Coincidentally I'm just undertaking a 7mm commission to rescale the coach sides/ends. 1

Rudititanic
The next major design being worked on is nearing completion - the GNR Stirling Single. Designed for N gauge, it will come with a choice of three tender variants: Ivatt (as built and now sporting), Sturrock (as erroneously preserved with) and a third 'stretched' Ivatt tender to fit a motor chassis. This way accuracy can be maintained with a motorised coach (also soon to be released) or the engine can be powered itself. Testing will begin soon so hopefully it will not be long before the finished model is released.
Rudititanic
A little teaser for the New Year: the first proof of the N Stirling Single. Hi Gibbo; all the engines in that particular video are traditional scratch-builds. I hadn't considered doing Sans Pareil as a print, but if there is demand I can certainly look into it.

I hadn't considered doing Sans Pareil as a print, but if there is demand I can certainly look into it. Hi There, I have just bought two Dapol Rocket kits to have a go at a part kit bash and part scratch build of a static model of Sans Pareil, I shall post progress. A print may be useful for motorising a version in OO gauge should my idea described below work out. I have some small motors and have purchased one of your Version 2 rocket models to see if with some adjustments I can somehow get the motor fit inside the body. My plan is that the 3d print will be more rigidly stable than the Dapol kit which may then be fitted over a chassis that holds the wheels and motor. The gears are a little coarse and may need to be altered for finer pitch but that could be done retrospectively. My plan has been to build an 1829-1835 L&MR layout but have so far been put off by the thought of not being able to produce working locomotives. Coaches and wagons are easy enough to scratch build but the locomotives have no commercial chassis to mount the bodies onto. With your 3d prints I might be able to use the stability of the print to add strength to a chassis that uses one of the above motors or by adapting an N gauge motor bogie from Tomix or similar. We shall see.....or I will have yet another static model !!! Gibbo.
