Accurascale on tour

Recommended Posts

Would love it to be one of the Prestwin types, now that Bach have suspended development of their proposed model. Accurascale have already produced other complex air piped discharge wagons. My other long wanted wagon is the BR Anhydrite hopper.

I purchased a set of three hopper wagons from Accurascale at Warley

The resulting conversation got around to wagons that have yet to be produced in RTR.

I mentioned the LNER post war box vans and fruit vans, but could not find

a decent image of one for Accurascale to look at. So here it is.....................

Maybe one to consider.

I hope that the new announcement will complement another recent Accurascale announcement.....

And if certain machinations of the prototype come to fruition, then there will be another market for said model...….

Cheers,

Mick

Are you hinting on a 73/9 Mick, it's not a loco this time round.

That's the only thing I can think of that might be yellow but sometimes not yellow.

That's so cryptic it's even got me trying to guess...

Nope - not a loco - but powered.

And not yellow, apart from the ends..... unlike other stuff...…………..

So an MU of sorts but it cannot be ultra modern then as it wouldn't have yellow ends, an earlier namesake perchance.

I wonder if it will actually be something for me this time round?

I'm waiting for somebody to do some decent Iron Ore hoppers, like the motley bunch of BR and exPO ones we used to get on the Banbury-Bilston workings.

What about an inspection saloon as in Caroline

Off the top of my head.

3 liveries of the original version. 2 liveries of the post 2009 rebuild.

Cheers,

Mick

What about a dbso

Present day operation?

DRS DBSO or the different RTOV [*] version of NwR? There are four detail variants between the 5 on NwR's book currently!

[*] - officially referred to a Remote Train Operating Vehicle, but still commonly called DBSO's even though there is no standard open accommodation.

There has to be a first but there are so many varieties!

Mainline made a start with the Charles Roberts PO design, this was perpetuated by BR. Shame about the extra 4mm in the middle and the paving stone it is sat on but what is worse the same error was perpetuated by Replica, Dapol and Bachmann.

Presumably as they are all from the same tooling?

Well, nobody has guessed it so far, so here is another clue! We're so nice like that. All I will reinforce is that it is an item of rolling stock that is not powered, but it has been used to help power many others...

Find out on stand 62, where we will have a very ropey 3D print (sample not quite ready in time, BOO!!) and on here at 9:30 this Saturday! Pre-ordering will also be opened!

In other news, we will have O and OO HUOs as well as OO cemflos for sale on the stand in very limited quantities. So, dont miss out on them if you intend to get some. Also, we can take pre-orders on our new announcement, Deltics, PCAs, 92s, Mark 5s etc at the show if you rather do that in person than online!

I wont be there myself sadly but Patrick and team will look after you. Revolution trains will also be on our stand with a representative so you can chat to them about all things N gauge.

Cheers!

If you stand ten foot back from the screen, angle your neck 90 degrees to the left and screw your eyes up you can see it quite clearly.

If I try that, all I can see is Casper the Ghost!
