Very Andy....31/4’s, 47’s, 56’s....:nono:

31/4’s? Why would Andy want something inferior? 73’s are more powerful, take up less room, and the neighbours would hardly hear them.

Also if he lays 3rd rail into the reception siding, it doesn’t even need a sound chip as it will be 100% authentic on electric

That's interesting, I've never seen any 20's when out and about, Eastleigh, Didcot, Wandsworth Road, Acton, Willesdon etc.

it was frustrating as a spotter back in the day, as we always had the same pair, they never got swapped about

Here you go. Lymington branch just down the road from home. Redbridge and a nice wet day for spraying weeds both loco's seen at Hamworthy.

Cheers Peter.

I’m still here everyone, having been sidetracked with my live steam loco, and hitting the mojo wall having got to do some repetitive jobs with the cromptons and making some windows for the shed building which I’m just not looking forward to, but I know this will make a big difference and start the build moving forward again, but I still haven’t decided about moving rooms in the house due to lack of room in the house to make it an easy project.

However, it appears the Ever Given has been released by the Egyptian government, so maybe my route learner 122 might make an appearance in a couple of months

Looks like they've struck a deal which involves them getting a tug.

It doesn't say if it's in construction livery though....

I have never come remotely close to finishing a layout and havent even started one since I was 15. The more I read peoples' threads on here, the more I think you put in a massive amount of effort then lose interest at some point.

I'm increasingly thinking little cameo photo scenes might work better for me and a non scenic test track or garden loop.

I have completed one small coffee table size N gauge layout, but others I started in OO never got completed. There was always something that niggled me, and drove me to start again

Hither Green however is different, I am further on than I have got to in OO, but I’m now at the point where I am out of my comfort zone, scratch building the depot itself, but there isn’t anything really niggling me, it’s just motivation at the minute because I have some repetitive boring stuff to do, then a lot of decoders and lights to buy and fit.

once I have window frames in the building then the office block will be quick to finish, then I have the shed roof to build. It’s a labour, but a labour of love, and unlike my last layout, I will push on

We are on the work bench. Procrastination completed over many months, let’s crack on

first job was to lower the rear wall, as I hadn’t left room for a roof. This will be made using a bit of modellers license as it’s not visible once the shed roof is built

floors were added to the pay office and notice room/drivers signing on point, and floors painted dark grey assuming Lino flooring. Holes added to run the illumination

starting to add the concrete supports and lintels on the end wall of the water tank support part of the shed

Well, it’s been good progress today.

the rooms have their floors, the walls are the right size, the water tower has its pillars and beams in place, and the windows have their sills fitted.

the whole thing has a coat of paint or primer ready for proper painting to start on Thursday
