Whats the plan Ian, change the cabs on the Heljan and do a compete MM1 model? 

One in triple grey?

making up a single body shell using the MM1 kit. 892 and 896 have different grilles at each end therefore, I will need to butcher cabs to make 2 correct cabs for either of those

So some good old fashioned modelling then plenty of cut and shut. Should be good when it's done best of luck. Will it fit on the Heljan chassis ok?

They look good Ian, I have a couple to do myself. Who's  wheels and buffers did you use?

Yes as 101 says, they are still available with the kits made to order. They do look a good solid kit, although at some stage I’d like to replace the ladders as they are very soft and bend very easy being white metal. Once the transfers arrive they will look even better

Railtec tranfers by any chance? They do look good and have just ordered one.
