Webbo
A deletion and an addition. Helmsman Model Rail cannot now attend due to illness. Dart Castings have agreed to attend. I have noted the alterations in the first post. Hopefully this is the last alteration. Alan

Dava Agreed. I was supposed to be there helping to operate my uncle's O gauge layout but unfortunately a serious illness in the last few months has meant I am now unable to be there. Such a shame, as I was really looking forward to this show I hope to see some photographs though, particularly of the 7mm scale layouts. Enjoy your day Dava!
RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted February 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 20, 2019 Hoping to get there over the weekend as a visitor. Back in October with my DRS layout Oil Drum Lane together with fellow Stafford Railway Circle club member Pete Griffiths with his EWS layout Crimson Road. Both are fully DCC Layouts with sound. cravensdmufan
Looking forward to the exhibition, looks like there are going to be some excellent layouts, and nice varied trade and demonstrators. Delighted to see Coppell will be there (I have been waiting a long time to see that in the flesh!).
kevpeo
We'd better put on a good show then! Coppell's all packed, serviced and ready to go in the morning. Kev.

John Tomlinson
I've just arrived home from a very enjoyable visit this afternoon. Pitching up just before 14.00 I drove straight in to a parking space about 30 yards from the door, so no problem there, similarly approaching from the south on the A1 was a doddle. A good range of layouts and some useful traders, particularly Dart Castings, for MJT bits. Canada Street never fails to impress, as did Coppell with some interesting kit built rolling stock and everything weathered to a uniform and very convincing standard. Well worth a visit if you're anywhere near and free tomorrow. John. 3
cravensdmufan
Went to the exhibition today - some great layouts. Favourite was Coppell (which I was really looking forward to seeing, and it most certainly didn't disappoint!). Interesting demonstrations. Good catering, and the venue was very well lit and spacious. Thanks to organisers, demonstrators and layout owners/operators for a most enjoyable day. Already looking forward to the Lincoln club's next exhibition at this venue in October - would you let us have list of layouts and traders when available please? Thanks. 1
Willie Whizz
Self and two friends had an excellent day at this exhibition today. Some excellent layouts- even for once a Swiss-based one that didn’t look too artificial. Canada Street was a revalation, especially the sunken barge ... and when Blythe is finished that is going to be a stunner. A nice and and not expensive pastie for lunch, easy car parking for free, only seven quid to get in, a fair selection of traders, what more could you ask? Well, actually, I was unable to find a bottle of Plastic Weld for love nor money, but you can’t have everything! atticombe
Having made an 80 mile round trip to this excellent show from the heart of Derbyshire I found top quality layouts, a fine mix of traders, a good and varied group of demonstrators and very acceptable catering all within a spacious building adjacent to acres of free parking at a very equitable price of £7.00. This made every mile of my journey well worth it. Add to this the organisation by the Lincoln team who are to be commended for their efforts leaving me to look forward to their future shows at this venue starting with the October event. PaulG
Just over a 200 mile round trip by car and our first visit to this show. The location, parking, entrance fee, venue, exhibits and catering all very good. If I had to pick out a couple of layouts that I enjoyed the most, not that easy a task, it would be John Spence & Steve Weston 2mm scale Melton Mowbray North and Tim Surrell (Stubcroft Studios Railway Group) 7mm Foston Mills, both for superbly setting the railway in the landscape, running and quality of the modelling. Thank you for an enjoyable day and we look forward to next years show. Paul
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted February 24, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Echo all comments. Well worth my short trip down and up the A1 and a bit of A46. Probably one of the few shows I will not want to miss in future as I find so many big shows just so overwhelming these days.. Well done L & D MRC. RMweb Premium t-b-g Posted February 24, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 24, 2019 I was there yesterday on the EMGS stand and really enjoyed the day. There were enough good layouts to please most folk including me. The smaller room was slightly spoiled by the very high volume of a pair of Class 20s., which could almost be heard in the main hall and must have driven exhibitors in the small room bonkers. They were even left at full volume when they were in the fiddle yard. I really like Foston Mills but trying to watch it with a high pitched whistle screaming in my ear just took all the pleasure out of it and I didn't stay in that room for more than a couple of minutes. Trade was a bit altered last minutes as Hobby Holidays had to pull out at the last minute. So specialist modelling supplies were thin on the ground and I couldn't find any materials or paint that I would normally get from their stand. There were a few layouts that really set me thinking about possible future projects and if I come away from a show with that sort of feeling, it has been a good one! But all in all I would congratulate the Lincoln club on the show. With Nottingham/Bulwell show having to cut right back, Lincoln has a void to fill at this time of year in this part of the world and is doing it well. 3

88D
First time at the show and really enjoyed it. Plenty of good layouts, esp Canada Street and the 7mm layouts. Easy to get to, and easy parking.
RMweb Premium Dava Posted February 24, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 24, 2019 A good show with a great range of layouts, especially in 0 scale. Foston Mills always delights but so did Amalgamated Wagon Works, Glen Bogle and many smaller layouts. Travelling there this morning was a bit of an adventure with the fog and autojumble congestion on the A46, best to go via A17. 1
