Haha, Funnily enough, I have just started recording Video No 9, and my first comment on the into was that I hope to complete The Track wiring on Boards 1, 2 and the End Board and tested, before tea time today. :dancer::good:

You are so quick with your progress that you really do put us to shame.  Look forward to Video 9.

A pal from up North rang me yesterday for a chat.  He enquired to how the layout was progressing (he doesn’t do rmweb).  So I took some pictures for him that I will share with you guys.  Haven’t done a lot to the layout recently as I have had a few stock projects which I wanted to Finnish.

Another stock project which I have finished today is x2 more GWR HST Powercars.  As I have said before that I was lucky enough to have travelled on 1C92 18:03 from Paddington to Exeter on the last day of Mainline HST’s on 18 May 2019.  The Powercars used on 1C92 were 43188 The Flying Welshman and 43093 Old Oak Legends.  It has since been my ambition to have a model of this pair, as it was such a momentous occasion.

I have many favourite trains that I run on WR.  One that’s near the top of my list is my Arrival Trains Wales (WAG) Loco Hauled.  My friend John Harding earlier in the year re liveried one of my 67’s to DB Cargo’s 67013, and this is now my preferred loco over the ATW Blue 67002.

Several years ago I took a great 3/4 view  photo at Burcott Road bridge at Hereford.  The roof weathering effect is very distinct and I have been dreading trying to replicate this.  However last week I was visiting my longtime friend Kevin (Hampshire Hog to you guys),  he has a new project on the go Lepe Beach.  Much of his NSE coaching stock has had his weathering effect of painting the roof Weathered Black then wiping the majority off with a rag to leave a hint of darker colour.

That’s the type of effect that I want.

I am very happy with the effect (another stock project finished).

Looks fantastic mate. A very subtle effect!

Cherry on the cake would be to upgrade the DVT lighting to match the prototype. Illuminated Models' LED light kit gives you the red/white LED markers. That, plus painting the silver inside cluster black, makes the world of difference.

Sorry if it's something added to your list ;-)

Lol…. My list is long enough.  But the modification is really worth considering.  Thanks for the heads up.
