toolongtoremember
And here are all the building in situ, with some stock and cars. Still not glued down yet though. 8
toolongtoremember
The lighting frame has been painted, and a light shield has been added to make viewing easier. I also added a road made of filler across to the factory area, because I just couldn't justify having them there with no road access.
toolongtoremember
So more progress has been made on the access road, we now have basic road material laid all the way to the train drivers offices. Will sand this down and paint when dry.
toolongtoremember
After some sanding down to make it smoother, some road coloured paint went down.
Les1952
Just out of interest, does your gradient begin at the point for the branch to the upper level, and how steep has it turned out to be? I'm looking at a similar area for my next project (though it will most likely be German outline) Les

I have used DCC Concepts power base to aid locos make the climb, but so far only the full length HSTs have required it. Not sure of the gradient, was all done by eye.

toolongtoremember
Some more landscaping has been done, quite happy with it so far, but still feel it needs much more detail.
toolongtoremember
So I went to the international n gauge show, and it emptied my wallet! Here are the new additions to the fleet.
toolongtoremember
Had the first exhibition with this layout at Whitehead, seemed to go well enough and got another exhibition invite. Although, in transit the factory buildings got ripped off and the track between the levels got pulled out of its sleeper chairs! Pinned that down and UHU glued the buildings back and all was good.
toolongtoremember
All repairs have been thoroughly completed, new track laid on the section between the levels. Weston town will be shown this weekend at the Thornbury and South Gloucester MRC show.
debrawenlock
It was great to see your layout at Whitehead last Saturday. Thank you very much for bringing it all that way to display it. It was impressive and very high tech.

toolongtoremember
So this is the end for Weston Town, it has become apparent that the layout is too small for all the electronic trickery I want to do with it. And so, I am starting a new layout 14ft x 6ft made from eight 4ft x2ft baseboards with one level, which will be more transportable to exhibitions and completely automated (seems computers can actually run layouts better than humans and run more, which has more entertainment value). I will be salvaging all the point motors, the DCC equipment, the digikeijs hardware from this layout to feature on the new layout. However all is not lost for the small layouts as I have made a new purchase in that respect... more news to come later!!! toolongtoremember
This layout had its last show at Thornbury and South Gloucester MRC annual show, and I wish to provide them special thanks for the arrangements made. The layout now is currently being dismantled and parts applied to this new layout.
Firsttimemodeller
What is the gap between the baseboard and the underneath of the upper level?
