RMweb Gold Ralf Posted October 9, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) Hi Folks, Has anyone got / an index to the back issues of Railway Bylines - I know there's a year by year one on the Irwell Press website BUT a) it stops with Vol 21 a few years ago and b) you can only search 1 volume at a time and c) it'd be nice to have some tags eg "NCB", "Colliery", "Mountain Ash" - from a personal perspective! Has anyone compiled / made / got any alternatives?? Thanks Ralf Edited October 9, 2018 by Ralf
RMweb Premium DLT Posted January 26, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 26, 2021 Just about to ask the same question, and found this topic via a search. As nobody replied, I guess the answer was "No!" You can look through the volume indexes on Irwell's website, but everything is listed by title only. Cheers, Dave. Osgood
And a lot of the titles (especially earlier years) are fairly cryptic and no use whatsoever when searching by subject.
Butler Henderson
I have been trying to merge the Irwell indexes but to date keep on losing the first digit of some three digit page numbers for some reason I cannot fathom.

Saving it to what form - Excel I assume? Perhaps you have a column labelled 'Page' or similar? If so make sure the format of the column is 'General' rather than 'Number'.
