Staffordshire
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with the following .... I have built one of the Agenoria / CSP Peckett's for GWR 1143, it has turned out in my opinion as a beautiful model. The following link is a photo of the built 1143 .... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=photos+of+peckett+models&rlz=1C1AZAA_enGB762GB762&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiQnZnq7o_eAhXSa8AKHYy_Am0QsAR6BAgAEAE&biw=1600&bih=758#imgrc=KXPAefXVfidj-M: I am hoping to build another, 1145, but I am aware there are some differences between the two engines, although of the same class. . I am hoping people maybe able to tell me all the differences between the two engines ..... please ? I am aware of the following, 1145. had a different Dome, different Tank Filler and a Tank Breather . It also had Peckett Injectors and a straight handrail on the smokebox. https://railphotoprints.uk/p249682189/hD8738AA#h133bee20 Are there more differences, and does anybody know where maybe I could purchase the different Dome, etc ?? Many thanks, Ian
bike2steam
There's a pic of both in H.C. Casserleys book 'Steam Locomotives of British Railways' ( a real handy volume) as 968 & 1098. If you have a pic of 1151, that had a similar dome/safety valve as 1145. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Steam-Locomotives-British-Railways-Casserley/dp/0600022102/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539867022&sr=8-1&keywords=steam+locomotives+of+british+railways+casserley Edited October 18, 2018 by bike2steam
Il Grifone
So useful that I have two copies! (Our collie chewed up the first one.... It's still readable, but not library quality.)
bike2steam
Must admit my 45 year old copy is one of the most 'thumbed thro' book for reference in my collection, and showing it's age.
