Allegheny1600
Bonjour a tous! I can't manage the accent, sorry. Anyway, I've followed the work of this chap, Jacques Le Plat for some time now and I find him and his work fascinating. http://www.ferbach.be/index.html This is the intro page where you may choose your language. Mention is made of Jacques on a "railway modelling as art" page (with link) but his work is simply so good, it should be held up in its own right. He is an accomplished author of several books and numerous articles and his layout is rather substantial at 30' x 19' http://www.ferbach.be/frames_uk/dcf/ukdcfmain1.htm Impressive, eh? John.
RMweb Premium Andy Hayter Posted October 30, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 30, 2018 I've been a fan of Jacque's work for probably 20 years and had the pleasure of seeing Ferbach in the flesh - if anything better than pictures can portray.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted October 30, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 30, 2018 30' x 19' is a big space but with so much railway it should look more cluttered than it does. Very clever design as well as superb craftsmanship.
RMweb Gold Barry Ten Posted November 29, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 29, 2018 There's an article on the lighting system for this layout in the current Loco Revue, by the way. It's mainly shots of the light fittings rather than the models, though.
