I know its early days but will you be marking them up with the different TOPS codes? Nice to see the BBA proposed in EWS ivery too. I can retire my Cambrian kit-bashed efforts now I am not one for wish-listing but have you considered the DB Schenker MVA too? I don't know how many were converted from BBA chassis, but I think they were used on Peak Forest aggregate flows. MVA 910164 is a box body on a Cambrian chassis. These wagons ran with BDA , BMA with slab and SPA , BAA , BDW with imported coil either as semi finished coil to Tinsley and Panteg or as wrapped finished steel to the likes of Wolverhampton , Brierley Hill etc.. Liveries for these were black with railfreight logo and red cradles or original bauxite brown with brown cradles . Thank you BaxJones1711 for all your posts, photos and the information that you have kindly included. This will prove very helpful for these future releases. bazjones1711 Posted February 28, 2021 Share Posted February 28, 2021 Just to confuse matters with the BBA conversions , this is how the 13 BWA would have been configured prior to being converted to BWA covered wagons , they had five traverse ex BZA cradles fitted , these wagons worked from Grimsby to the likes of Tinsley , Wolverhampton etc... with imported coil . I guess it depends on how it has come free as they are glued in place at the factory and stay in place unless levered up somehow. We did have a few rejects at the beginning which were put aside that had been packaged incorrectly with the deck not located under the blister packaging which when closed up pulled the decking off in places and bent it, we did however hand check every wagon in this batch and none left us in that condition so can't see that being the issue. Do you know how the deck came free? It may have broken the pegs or it may have simply slid off of them depending on what happened. If they have just popped off then it should just glue back down on top. If the pegs have broken then the peg debris may get in the way of a flush fit going back so the broken pegs may have to be paired back. Either way a repair should be doable, just take care not to scratch the paint from the deck mesh if you are waving a scalpel blade around between the two. Looking at the photo it also looks as though the main deck has popped off as well just above the bogie, there is a clip there which looks like it needs snapping back onto the metal frame. All i can think of is it not liking extreme heat variations (I have a garden layout and the stock goes from inside a warm house and in to an often freezing cold garden and back every day I run it......
