Guest teacupteacup
Nothing looks out of place, so they've probably just placed the body on for the photos Wouldnt pay anywhere near what they are asking though.

Agreed. I have noticed that pre owned items from the two largest "box shifters" can be very expensive indeed.

MartynJPearson
I thought it looked like it was an odd shape. Hattons have the same model, albeit weathered, for 65 notes - https://www.hattons.co.uk/400862/Bachmann_Branchline_32_410_PO01_Class_25_2_25087_in_BR_Blue_Pre_owned_weathered_imperfect_box/StockDetail.aspx

RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted November 6, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 6, 2018 Caveat Emptor! That Hattons loco is on the wrong chassis - 25087 is a boiler fitted loco and should have water tanks see https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=25087&rlz=1C1GGGE_en-gbGB569GB631&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=QxGr1hVgbgWSoM%253A%252CfHp0I8sQjihMYM%252C_&usg=AI4_-kRr3mjVzBQf_W9j3RWO4qxmLiqTyw&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjzp7OOvcDeAhWUa8AKHUp-AJsQ9QEwAHoECAYQBA#imgrc=QxGr1hVgbgWSoM: That chassis is from a no heat loco Cheers Phil
Alcanman
I wouldn't go touch it with the proverbial barge-pole. I've also been looking on e-bay for a 25/1 and noticed a nice, nearly new one, sold for only £44.00 on auction last week. A bargain IMHO.

PenrithBeacon
I have a two tone green one which I bought at a Risex show some time ago. When I took the body off to disconnect the lights I found it was a bit of a problem to get it back on again and it looked a bit like the photo until I eased it together. I suspect that there’s nothing wrong it’s just that the vendor had the same issues I had.

darren01
Also the under frames are weathered and the body of the loco are clean, so i am thinking this was from another 25. Also the hand rails are missing and i bet the detail pack is missing as well. Edited November 8, 2018 by darren01
w124bob
Note the footsteps missing from the trailing bogie as well, another common fault with pre owned class 25 models. I can't be sure but is that body from the first production run with the not deep enough front windows. The give away is the last few runs of 25 have had black painted roof vent.https://www.hattons.co.uk/82896/Bachmann_Branchline_32_408_Class_25_3_25286_in_BR_Blue/StockDetail.aspx Although the body does have the various steam boiler roof vents. Just noticed sand pipes missing on front bogie too.
PenrithBeacon
The 25 I bought s/h had these issues too. You can buy them from Bachmann Spares but the footsteps are only available of you buy the complete bogie. I did, but others may baulk. The sand pipes are easily replaced with a bit of wire
