Early 90s. My reference photo is 1993. Very hard to get pictures of!

We’ve probably been looking at the same 1993 picture. No depot plaques in the photo I saw, but it did look absolutely pristine so they may not have been attached yet.

Saw the advert at the Model Rail Scotland a few weeks ago and Inverness one now ordered to go with the original release of which I have 2 of. Might end up selling one of the original releases as I only need  one pair. They do look good with two Inverness class 37s between them.

Any news on when these are being delivered?

The website originally stated 1st April. Now it states due into stock  April, yet also on the same page states late May. Im guessing they will arrive when they are ready.

Can you upgrade the tooling with lighting?

Will you give a discount for pre-orders

Out of interest, where is the lighting on the prototype ploughs and what purpose does it serve?

Spoke with Footplate Models yesterday, looking like July for the snowploughs at the moment due to factory scheduling.

In fairness, late October would probably still be okay....

Thanks for the photos Andy, they look great. I rang Footplate just now to check some details of my order and had a very friendly chat...apparently despite the livery rectification, estimated delivery is still around September.

The Buxton pair for me I think. Found quite a few photos of ADB965228 and ADB965222 but only 1 picture of ADB965226 and even then it’s in the mid 1987 onwards light grey with red chassis. Am I right in thinking there were 3 Buxton ploughs?

Still waiting for delivery :(

Was told July, now October and no update. Starting to worry about whether they are turning up at all unfortunately.

On the plus side picked 2 of the original batch at a show recently for £22 each :)

Thanks for the reply. It's very much appreciated.

I am debating whether to buy two of the Hattons snowploughs or two of the larger snowploughs by Footplate. I don't have the need for a pair of each, so it's one or the other. The ones by Footplate tempt me because these seem to see more use than the smaller ploughs produced by Hattons. Hopefully the ones by Footplate will be produced and will arrive soon.

That's brilliant. It's not very often you can buy wagons in current times for £22 each! Bargain!

It was a great result, couldn't believe it. They go for silly money on auction sites. One of the reasons I go to shows, always some good bargains if you dig around, even at smaller shows :)

I don't usually attend shows just because of lack of time, but I do buy from smaller model shops which offer good discounts and shop for models on Ebay, especially when they offer discount days etc on models. Last Christmas I bought a Bachmann DRS 37688 for £113 off of Ebay using a discount code. Bachmann 37s haven't been that cheap since 2014/2015.

Always good to get bargains isn't it, especially at today's prices.
