Q Stock restoration

The LT Museum has launched a Virgin Money Giving page for the restoration the Q Stock. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/displayCharityCampaignPage.action?charityCampaignUrl=qstockrestoration

 

The page is to raise money for the restoration of Q stock cars:

  • 08063 (Q35), formerly N stock, built in 1935 by Metro Cammell in Birmingham
  • 4416 and 4417 (Q38), both built in 1938 by Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company

 

Here is what the donations will go towards:

  • £5 light up a 1930s lampshade
  • £15 Decorate each car with a poster
  • £50 fit a one panel of original Lacewood on the walls
  • £330 Cover a seat with a period moquette textile design
  • £25000 Refurbishment of a brake van
