paulbb
A rerun of class 27 diesels in 4mm has been mentioned elsewhere on this site, does anyone have any details?
No Decorum
It certainly hasn't been abandoned, just put on hold until the final sales of the present stock has been achieved. It was discussed briefly over the weekend at the Warley show along with the other lengthy queue of Heljan models in the progression line. The positive aspect of this is that most of the tooling is complete for the earlier version with just some 'tweeking' required to the GN cab and tender when the time comes. That’s very good news. I’m pleased with the ones I’ve got but a better paint (or unpainted) finish would be welcome.

HullCityB17
Under the picture of the Class 60 it says check the Railway Press for details of new versions!?! Surely a misprint or caption under the wrong picture? Edited November 28, 2018 by HullCityB17
Waverley47708
According to the new 2019 Heljan catalog: All Blue, sealed doors, drop light cab windows: 2715: 27104 2716: 27030 Eastfield logo 2717: tbc Haymarket logo 2718: 27029 highland stag logo Sealed door, sliding cab windows, tablet catchers: 2730: BR Green 27001 weathered 2731: BR Green D5369 (SYp) 2732: BR Blue 5357 Also of note is 3 further class 17’s D8502 GSYP, 8546 GFYE, D8534 Blue Thanks, to date all their blue with full yellow end 27s had drop light cab Windows and a thin bead across the sealed door. My memories from the mid 80s were mostly of sliding Windows with no beading across the door. The Heljan version of drop Windows and beading was less common in the mid 80s. While the changing of the windows is relatively straightforward if you can source their 26 glazing, the removal of the beading is a pain and needs a repaint.
