mike knowles
Had a great day at the show today which was well worthy of it's 50th anniversary status. Arun Quay was just sublime but there were plenty of excellent layouts there to suit all tastes. Roll on the 100th show!

Judge Dread
The four of us visiting today became five and then six. We all had a good time and thanks must go to all concerned for the organisation of the exhibition. I enjoyed talking to friends old and new and assuring them that tales of my demise are not true. I will be back as soon as I can convince my wife, Glasgow is in Yorkshire! Edited January 26, 2019 by Judge Dread
RMweb Gold 46444 Posted January 26, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) Had an excellent visit to the Pontefract Exhibition today. A brilliant and well organised show which gets better each year I've been. Something for everyone and I would like to thank the organisers. The catering was brilliant too with superb bacon rolls. Looked like the pork pie, mushy peas and mint sauce was going down well also.. Edited January 26, 2019 by 46444

Unfortunately unable to make it.Looking forward to some pictures.Eltel Here are a few photos to be going on with. I'll add some more tomorrow. Boomerang Lane Canada Street Lockwood Street Tanners Yard Thanks to this years show organisers - you've done a great job and £5 including programme is a bargain, IMHO - and to all the exhibitors, particularly the layout operators/owners who I chatted with, all of whom were keen to chat and answer my questions in a positive and engaging way.

AMJ
There were many nice layouts as ever. A few that I have seen before and can enjoy even more such as Purgatory Peak, Waggon works, and the Steel works from Scottish group. Enjoyed Arun as I feel that for exhibitions O scale has better detail than N Nice to see the American layouts. Purgatory Peak I could spend all day with even though seen before at NGN.
