I drilled five holes in the chassis (which is plastic) under the bunker to help the sound escape. The sound project was from Charlie Petty at DC-DE Kits and Videos. Charlie also supplied the speaker. Very quick service. As ever, no connection, just a satisfied customer. Cheers, Ade. Loksound v5 ??

RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted February 16, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 16, 2021 Had a parcel arrive today with some laser cut gates etc for the layout from Poppy’s. While I was ordering those I thought it worthwhile to order a Loco Builder Box in preparation for my class 517 xx build later this year. Just built the box up. Usual disclaimer applies. Cheers, Ade.
bgman
I've been using one of those too Ade and it certainly works for me, you should be fine with it. G
RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted February 17, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 17, 2021 Made most of the gates up now. The two farm type gates will be used for Lovers Lane Crossing. The others will be used on the platform. Cheers, Ade. 23
RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted February 20, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 20, 2021 Just got back from having my first COVID jab. Very impressed with the organisation. Just fitted this “Shut and fasten gate” sign over the cabin door. This came from the old GCR line at Ruddington where I come from. I found this back in the 1970s in Willwell Cutting. Sadly it had been snapped off a gate. Off now to do a bit more on the layout. Simond
Yes “Jab Organisation” is very effective. Got text around 2pm, had appointment at 4 pm, arrived a few minutes early, was done immediately and am now waiting the prescribed 15 minutes before driving home. excellent! atb Simon
RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted February 20, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 20, 2021 Started to add the wire fencing to the pathway leading to Lovers Lane crossing. Will need some more to complete this. Painted the undercoat to the baseboard so you can see the line this will take. This board is under construction. Cheers, Ade.

O-Gauge-Phil
‘‘Tis looking the part now. Lovers Lane has brought it to life. Yep jab was very well organised five minutes from leaving car to getting back in, my wife couldn’t believe I’d had it! Very unusual to have something so well done. Let’s hope we can now start setting dates for an exhibition, seems such a long time now. In need of a good trade show to finish off some of these kit waiting for the odd bit before the paints applied. Nice fencing and so much of it! 1

Not painful, just a bit stiff & a dull heavy ache. forewarned is, as they say, forearmed. see what I did there? Simon 2 1
RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted February 21, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 21, 2021 Hi Simon, I just felt really tired today after my jab. So had a lie in bed this morning and then this afternoon painted the new gates for the layout. Cheers, Ade. 1

Baggies1961
Approaching the big ‘60’ will have to wait a tad longer for the ‘jab’. Great work Ade been great following your progress, love the layout and what you have done to date. Will give poppys a look to gates look fab. 1 1
RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted February 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 23, 2021 Given the loading gauge and crossing gates a coat of white paint. Both will need another coat. As I had a very short offcut of track, I cut this up and added a few spare sleepers stacked in the engine shed yard having seen a photo of this. Cheers, Ade.
David Bell
I think you have taken a leaf out of Andy P's book with those sleepers. The take away loading gauge is brilliant. Cheers David 1 1
RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted February 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 23, 2021 Thanks David. I just need to find something to use for the actual gauge itself. Cheers, Ade.

RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted February 24, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 24, 2021 Hi Simon, the wheels and frames were airbrushed with a thin coat of "Frame Dirt" from Precision Paints. This was sprayed from the sides and then from underneath in a slightly upwards direction to try and mimic how the dirt would fall in reality. Today I have added the crew and a billy can and oil can in the cab, all from Modelu. Usual disclaimers apply. The loading gauge has had another coat of white paint and also the black added. Cheers, Ade. 12
