Even railway modellers are doing their bit for global warming !

Ade,

Your trees are developing a lovely country station feel. I fear though the picture of the small prairie will need moving up the wall a bit before it disappears into the vegetation.:)

Thanks Ian.

The pictures will need moving.

Been measuring up regarding a back scene and one about 15 inch high looks to be a happy medium regarding height versus accessibility.

The coal yard set has arrived.

Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade, those 7mm coal yard details are looking very good.

Who is it who is making them, I've not searched thinking it was simpler just to ask, please.

I have most of them in metal form but they look nice and crisp.

Best

It's the little details, like that, that make a scene come to life.

When exercised with restraint.

For example, these make for a nice cameo, but if repeated all the way along the siding…

Out in the van only 5 miles from home staying at a really nice farm. Got a whole field to ourselves. We arrived last night and unpacked the bikes ready for our first proper ride out today to the Battlefield Line. I will do a thread in the preservation forum later.

I am sure there must be tax breaks for planting that many trees!

Enjoy your weekend Ade, looks like it will be hot.

Cheers

Thanks David. It is a hot one today. Just arrived at Shackerstone after a five mile ride. Most impressed with the bike.

The railway is excellent. Sitting in our compartment in the good old BR MkI awaiting departure on the 12.30.

Back now at the van. The bikes made the 10 mile round trip easy. The station gift shop stocked O Gauge which seems to be rare for most preserved railways, so as I like to support the lines I visit by making some kind of purchase, it was rude not to buy a wagon. :D

Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Andy.

I was out on business yesterday up at Retford and managed to call in at The Goods Yard model railway shop. Would you believe it, the owner grew up in Swadlincote and some of his family lived in my street, talk about small world. Picked up a couple more Silver Birch trees for the layout and got a small discount for coming from Swad.

Cheers, Ade.
