brossard
I should mention that the shadowing is very effective. What did you use for that Ade? I use black enamel wash on mine but if there's a better way... John
RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted September 13, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 13, 2021 Hi John, the wash is by Citadel and is called "Agrax Earthshade". It is a very dark brown wash and is easy to use being water based. Hi All, thanks for all the kind comments and likes. Cheers, Ade. 3
O-Gauge-Phil
Nicely painted figures but the one looking out of the Sentinel looks a bit familiar. Oh - is it you or a lookalike?! 2

RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted September 17, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 17, 2021 Got the day off today before setting off in the van to stay at a Vineyard for the weekend (what could possibly go wrong ) So fitted the rest of the figures to the other half of the B set, the Railcar and the Autocoach. Cheers, Ade. 14

RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted September 17, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 17, 2021 You'll have Social Services after you for parental neglect of the girl in the yellow pinafore. When did she last have a bath or have her dress washed?

Well yes of course but if she's the sweep's daughter her mother would be far to proud to let her go out like that, in public, on a train.

RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted September 19, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 19, 2021 Once again a nice location to do some modelling. I got the rest of the van detailing finished and after getting home this afternoon I took a couple of pics of the van on the passing loop. Next step will be to add some window bars once I can find some suitable material to make them from. Cheers, Ade.

brossard
OK,, but seriously, I made window bars from brass strip: Annoying that Slater's don't supply these. A nicer rendition would be a brass fret from Dan Randall, he should be on RMweb. John

John Thanks for the mention John - I did have some window bars etched, many moons ago, but only enough for two vehicles. However, I used one set and gave the others to a friend, so if and when I build another of these kits, I’ll have to fabricate some of my own. Sadly, Adrian will have to as well…! RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted September 25, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 25, 2021 My order from Precision paints has been delivered, so I started to paint the van today. Got the chassis sprayed black. Tomorrow I will start on the Malachite green for the body. Now got the mahogany paint too which had been holding me up finishing the branch set carriages. Cheers, Ade.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Adrian Stevenson Posted September 26, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 26, 2021 First coat of green on. The ends of the van will be done in black. Cheers, Ade. 17
