Hi Al, just magnificent, really looks the part. If you need some proper Land Rover oil stains I can send you a bag full. All the best Adrian.

Thanks Adrian, I've been growing some of my own so I think I'm OK...

I can see this is bothering you, so I went ahead and installed the mains feed, isolater and consumer unit, and wired up the lathe.

I'll have to come back tomorrow for the sockets, guv.

That's shut me up, good and proper! It was only an attempt at humour, but I think you know that.

Splendid detailing, Al. Inspiring stuff.

I snuck a little time from work this lunchtime, to add some sockets and a lightswitch.

It's a farm, you would be lucky if the sockets even work and if one does, it will be an old bakelite job with half the cover smashed off, so that you have to be careful not to touch anything live every time you use it .

Given the openness of your structure should you not have installed waterproof sockets to IP66 and switches to IP55?

Yeah, it's the 1960s, they are lucky to have electrickery :D

Hopefully you can tell that they are the galvanised conduit and boxes - they will probably be weathered and rusted up a bit.
