MarkK
Just picked up a Bachmann 4MT 32-360A. There are two raised sections on the bunker with holes in either side, anyone have any idea what they are for? Also, where the small parts included are intended for? Some are obvious but there are no instructions regarding these included ! Thanks in advance Mark
34theletterbetweenB&D
I think you are describing the lifting eyes that were fitted to allow the bunker to be lifted - possibly the rear tank as well - when dismantling for works overhaul. Small parts, too long since I saw one of these, a current owner is required...
RMweb Gold Right Away Posted December 9, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 9, 2018 Small parts: These are generally vacuum brake and steam heat hoses, screw couplings and footsteps. Front footsteps can foul leading wheels where tight curves exist. Reference to photographs of prototype will reveal their locations if you have no documentation. The raised projections with holes, as 34C states, are indeed lifting brackets.
PaulG
The Bachmann BR standard 2-6-4T comes with a detailing packet, but no instructions as to what goes where. I've looked on the Bachmann web site, but can't see any information, not that it is the easiest site to search! All but two of the items are obvious as to where they go, but can anyone help as to where the items shown in the photo go, please. I have search through a few photo albums I have and looked at a few photos of preserved members of the class, but still non the wiser! Thank you Paul
