Hi All, I’m looking for some assistance / feedback on issue about rolling stock for our layout.

 

Our layout is based on Era5 1960s, region North East Scotland (Aberdeen - Inverness - Fraserburgh etc)

 

Question we have is:- Gresley Non-Vestibuled Suburban Coaches (BR)

 

Have search high & low but still unable to find confirmation (details / photos) if these coaches were

used on this region area routes during 1960s

I don't think so. By the 1960s, I think these lines were using corridor stock - some ex-LNE and some BR Mk1.

Could be found as Engineering Department coaches though.

Not so much. Ex LNER corridor stock was used a lot on the Deeside line with ex LMS on many of the other routes. The last non-corridors were for the Banff branch, but these were BR Mk1's in the 60's.
