Sunday was less busy than Saturday but still by no means quiet. Having spoken to some of the club members, the 2nd day seemed very much a success, maybe partly because it allowed people to go to Biggleswade on Saturday then MK on Sunday? There was a good selection of both layouts & traders. Plenty to see, I arrived at 3pm on Saturday after a visit to the East Beds show first. By this time the crowds had gone and with them the most of the giant buggies which was a relief (why is it that the smallest of people need the largest transport, some of these buggies are larger than disability wheelchairs). I enjoyed the show very much and I think I might have hit on a formula that works, East Beds first then 30 miles or so to MK. Of the layouts I particularly liked 'Clifton and Lowther' and 'Brinklow', but there were many others too. A good show. ianbartlett
Thanks very much for all your kind comments here. We had a really successful show; don’t know attendance numbers yet, but it’s looking good! We’d really appreciate your feedback and have a short form that can be completed online. If you have time, please complete it at: www.mkmrs.org.uk/feedback The ‘Best in Show’ award went to Ian & Marianne Milroy and Robin Marie for their excellent Maria San Gandia layout. The picture below show our member, Jacob Horne, presenting the prize plaque to the deserving winners.

Will see how many others I can bring along this year, at least two again. Catching the bus from MKC as usual. Dave Actually managed 5 plus the 2 grandsons, no buggies here, we all caught the bus, part of the fun for the little ones. As others have commented, a very good collection of N gauge/2mm layouts. Nearly missed Hall 4, but knowing Wickwar hadn't been seen tracked it down together with the other 'Magic bus' layouts, coincidently(?) all three layouts in there having working buses and other road vehicles. Another amusing feature that the boys liked. Addison Road, very nice, but a little too clean. Another great show, and was more pleasurable to visit on Sunday lunchtime than it has ever been on the Saturdays of previous years. Hoping the two day format continues.
