Think that's covered nearly all my Class 25 photos now (apart from a couple of late 1970's shots that aren't stored on this computer).........

How strange double arrows under leading cab window and centrally too

Isn't Narborough is on the Leicester to Nuneaton branch and not the Bletchley branch, unless Network Rail has moved it hehehe

Cracking photo though

That is a point on the route of the "Brickliner" which ran off the Bletchley-Bedford line, up the MML then swung left at South Wigston through Narborough to Nuneaton then up the WCML.

My dad used to take me here too, on the site of the old station when it was less overgrown you could park up and watch the trains go by.

Must be where I got my thing for the old MGR workings.

Similarly you used to be able to park up by the underbridge on Kirkmanshulme Lane in Longsight and watch the goings on at Longsight.

That was a favourite spot for me too, and also at the Asda car park on the Down side.

Not the one I was looking for, but it'll do nicely.

And then owing to technological incompetence I can't delete the subsequent link to the picture of the 50....apologies.

This is definitely one for the 'when the real thing looks like a model' thread...!

Even the glazing nabove the 5looks to have been badly filed, and you can see the glue above the 2!
