stock_2007
Hi I've seen a number of DVD's which seem to show the coach's used in the class 67-DVT sets having the Arriva branding removed from the sides. Are Arriva not running them now?
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted January 7, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) The Arriva Trains Wales franchise ended on 13th October 2018. It was replaced by Keolis Amey Operations trading as Transport for Wales Rail Services - or Trafnidiaeth Cymru. black and decker boy
Also the MK3 & DVTs used on the WAG expresses are due to be replaced during 2019 by MK4 & DVT rakes. No confirmation yet as to haulage, 67 retained or upgrade to class 68?

AMJ
I doubt that Wales will get any Mk IV stock until 2020 as LNER don't seem to be in much of a hurry to get rid of 91's as they keep using delaying tactics to getting 800/801's into service. Bomag
LNER is using delaying tactics? Its a conspiracy so that if we wait long enough we can avoid the IET and give the welsh the 5 car 800s instead.
muddy water
Will the mk4 sets have four 2nd class carriages and a dvt, or will they include a service vehicle? Possibly converting a 2nd into a buffet car like the mk3 ones running for Greater Anglian at the moment. Any ideas?
Zomboid
Why convert one when mk4 sets already include a buffet car? If you mean a microbuffet, they're no better than a trolley, and there's loads of space for trolley stowage in the DVT, so keeping the seats would seem more sensible. wombatofludham
My understanding is they will keep the full meal offer on the new service, so the catering car will need to have some sort of kitchen facility. The restaurant facility is very popular on the Gerallt.
jonny777
LNER is using delaying tactics? They had better not delay too long or Welsh services will end up with class 230s
