Forester
On the other hand: Last year I had a model stolen In its box by a postal worker. I believe it was broken up into parts and sold without the box, but couldn't produce sufficient proof. I wouldn't worry about the ethics of selling boxes. They'll always get around it some way. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 27, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 27, 2019 First thing I ever sold on Ebay was an empty box - 21 quid. that was what I would regard as a good sale!
lastluddite
Having been involved with the trade, most of the stolen items are boxed locos, so selling empty boxes will not make any difference.
RMweb Premium 47137 Posted January 27, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 27, 2019 Having been involved with the trade, most of the stolen items are boxed locos, so selling empty boxes will not make any difference. This is most helpful to me, at least in part because most of the bits and pieces I sell go through an online auction and I never meet the buyers. Thanks. - Richard.
