An innovation for this year - Steve Grantham will be constructing a Boxfile layout at the show and it will be raffled at the end of the show.

Thanks to those who supported the show last year and are prepared to come back again - must be doing something right!

As usual, it will be a relaxed and enjoyable day and most likely, you will get the chance to have a go on some of the layouts.

So please come along for a good day out.

Just to quantify what Northpoint means, I am currently building a HO scale Pacific Northwest paper mill inspired 3-2-2 inglenook with the specific intention of allowing visitors to interact with the layout, either by conducting the crew to solve the switching conundrum or by operating it themselves.

No photos yet, but progress is rapidly advancing for it to be ready for June.

Blue Heron is surviving impromptu test sessions, although I have discovered that although modelling a wet location at night sounds arty, I've had to add additional ambient lighting to actually see what's happening...

The 7mm NGA annual show is at Burton Town Hall the same day and close enough to to visit both easily if you fancy narrow gauge too.

I'm looking forward to the show. It's my second year there.

This year I am bringing Mutton along.

Hopefully catch up with a few fine chaps as well.

Mutton looks absolutely cracking, right up my street. I just hope I'm not next door to youas this will really put my little offering to shame!

Thank you but I sincerely doubt that.

All the layouts booked by Nick look fab. A very high standard throughout.

This year looks set to top last year's show.....

I would have loved to have been able to come this year - but my time has been spoken for elsewhere sadly.  Hope it all goes well.

Hopefully next year.  With layout perhaps?

It does look like a good line up. (a little daunting as I've built my layout specifically for the show over the last few months, so it's still very much a work in progress :-) )

Only just over a week to go so I'm trying to shoe-horn everything in. I took some advice from my mentor last night, Colin Hill who organises things at Stafford every year, and we thnik we can just baout get it all in!

I have had requests from a couple of local traders - Nick Smith and Toby Wood - who will be there with some interesting accessories and laser cut kits.
