Sir Madog
Zeitgeist, a new manufacturer has announced a set consisting of the old Bavarian Zugspitzbahn rack loco and matching car! The pictures show the yet undecorated and unlettered version. A set consisting of loco, car and 3m of track equipped with Riggenbach rack rail will be released to the shops during Q1, 2019. Prices range from about €300 for the DCC only version to € 370 for DCC &sound. Zeitgeist also offers flex track, a coach set, and catenary masts. No points - yet. Very, very tempting! RMweb Premium 47137 Posted June 2, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 2, 2019 Delivery has slipped to Q2, "abroad may vary" but this does look very appealing indeed :-) https://www.zeitgeist-models.eu/en/Produkts/Zugspitzbahn/?switch_country=GB - Richard. Sir Madog
Interesting to see that the price of the DCC/Sound version has gone up by €40! By the time, the Zeitgeist set hits the market, Lemke/Hobbytrain will also release their version of the non-rack Zugspitzbahn loco. Guest Jack Benson
Hi, As no one seems to have seen the product, it may be worth mentioning that it is not very good and the running qualities leave a lot to be desired. It was certainly not the 'star of the show' at Intermodellbau.

However, far worse has been committed in the past few years by established manufacturers and still folks buy the stuff......... Cheers Jack
