Crisis Rail
Ballasting yesterday in the usual PVA method. The nails are positioning markers and leaving a gap to stop the point mechanism seizing with adhesive. The end track is transition Code 100 to fiddleyard. RMweb Premium Ian Smeeton Posted February 9, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) This wee beastie was the shunter at the Abercorn Oil Works, Paisley. Apparently the mortal remains are still at the Riverside Museum's reserve collection. Maybe a little early for your scenario, though. RMweb Premium Ian Smeeton Posted February 11, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 11, 2019 An Albion it is. 3 tonner from a 1914 design, I am told, although I am not certain of its precise vintage. I am planning on building it, in 2mm Finescale, no less. How soon I get round to it, I am not sure. PS, Just checked Eileen's Emporium, and 'Round Tuits' are still out of stock! Crisis Rail
Ballast and Embankment formers act like an exit sight screen as the viewing point is more or less end on. The tracks could’ve done to curve out to the end corner maybe a little bit more. Edited February 17, 2019 by Crisis Rail

Crisis Rail
Thanks Daz. 30” by 10” it’s a massive ask and might take a while like you know. Lol. It’s a first and there’s even a (nice) Bullhead point in there. #expensive Edited March 1, 2019 by Crisis Rail
Crisis Rail
Formers strengthened and given feature with plaster. Relief cutaway chiselled although I forgot at risk of disturbing the track and ballast. Really should’ve done that first. Almost ready to spray. Crisis Rail
All up. Ten Commandments buildings next up for priming. Also track and ballast spraying. Dividing wall backer in place from behind the Ten Commandments buildings to the rear of the (Pilchard) storage tanks embankment. All in all a bit Raw. eastworld
The bullhead code 75 looks very good. Stu
Crisis Rail
Yes - it's not bad at all especially the compatible points - I dont have the time or inclination to build my own track. Code 75 is good for larger layouts but for close up detailed micros C&L PECO or Legacy are better for the correct scale sleeper spacing.
