RMweb Premium younGGuns7 Posted February 13, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 13, 2019 This is my layout based in the South West during 1967/1974. The base and track was built by Little Layouts the rest has been trialled by my wife and me. We still have work to do but we are getting there slowly. I admit it is not to exhibition standard but I love it.

RMweb Premium younGGuns7 Posted February 20, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 20, 2019 (edited) Introduction to Somerton Park MPD in 1971 I was stood in Somerton Park watching Newport County FC I heard a sound I have never heard before this was my introduction to the WR Hydraulics love at first sound you may say. From this time on I was in love with these locos. Born at the Gwesty Nursey home now the Celtic Manor I have always been at home on the WR in the 70s my favourite place was Severn T Jct with all the different locos coming in. I decided to model a MDP around an area which doesn’t exist I.e. around Westbury and 7 Tunnel Jct so I get all the different locos but still give a flavour of the WR in this period, the idea is a countrified surrounding but a busy MDP supplying locos for passenger and freight workings. There is a refuelling point, stabling point and a small wagon works along with a busy MPD, the layout is all about the locos, I hope you enjoy it and I will add too as we Compete it’ Edited February 20, 2019 by younGGuns7

RMweb Premium younGGuns7 Posted January 24, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 24, 2020 I have tried to catch the atmosphere of the WR in the late 70s, even though there is an invader but I couldn’t resist. Rule 1 I understand.
