Albie the plumber
Hi Folks , I'm fitting sound to one of my class 25's and a 58x22 bass reflex speaker will fit nicely once the chassis is cut accordingly . To allow fitment of this speaker , the circuit board will have to go . The chip is a 21 pin ZIMO . The question I have is this : Can I use the ESU 51968 21 pin adaptor plate on a ZIMO decoder ? trevora
are you using a MX644 C or D that would be ok with the C you need ESU51967 for the D trevora
Albie the plumber
Hi Trevora Thanks for your reply . I would say its an MX644D as I bought it from new as an 08 digidrive sound project a few years ago now . It was reblown with the latest '25 sounds recently . What I do remember is the decoder type is clearly printed on the packaging in which it comes . I'm pretty sure I would have picked up the 'C' prefix . So do I assume using the wrong adapter plate will damage the decoder ? Albie
trevora
I do not think it will hurt it but those outputs will not work see posts about dapols class 68's esu have logic level outputs (as dose the mx644c) and the board you list has transitors to boast the signal to drive leds
