Had intended to get over the crossing and film a sweeping panoramic shot with Cleeve Hill in the background but the crossing barriers were already down when we arrived for a southbound unit. Number 9 was in the loop just north of Cheltenham station to allow a northbound XC voyager to overtake so she had had a standing start - given that we were only a mile or so from the loop she was running well when she got to us. And Mrs B very happy with the hair do so then it was home to rustle up boeuf bourginion and an apple crumble to feed some good friends later....
