luke the train spotter
Well it’s been a couple of weeks build up and now I’ve finally painted the cobbles. Here’s a few photos of how things are looking. Weathering powders and dry brushing is still to do but I’m very pleased how it looks and that those couple of weeks of hard work has paid off! Now I need to finish off a few bits of scenery and start filling it with dockyard clutter.
sb67
Look really good Luke, well done. That's a fine looking layout you got there. Steve.
luke the train spotter
More progress on the barge, as it’s now finished. It turned into more of a freelance scratch build. I’ve decided for it to be a coal barge and am very happy with how the weathering has turned out. Of course here are some pictures. I’ve not glued it down and don’t plan to so it can be posed for different photos.

RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted June 10, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 10, 2019 Luke your layout is looking great. The cobbled sections and water have been modelled nicely.
luke the train spotter
Finally got back into the train room for a little bit today. I’m currently mid mock exam period so I’m trying to make the most of my free time. Today I’ve fitted the name plates for my Peckett. The plates are from narrow planet which are fantastic and I cant recommend highly enough. I decided on the name Douglas as it doubles up as a Scottish name which will suit it when it runs on Distillery Yard.
1722
Obvious but... You need another so you can christen it 'Donald.' :-)
south_tyne
That's looking absolutely cracking Luke, you are doing a fantastic job. I think the warehouses and industrial buildings look particularly impressive. Once again, the pace at which you work puts the rest of us to shame!! Keep up the good work. MrDuck
Luke this is a lovely little layout you are building. I have been looking through a few of your layout builds on the forum and they all look brilliant. I like the idea of the theme of which a layout is based. Loads of inspiration, thanks.
luke the train spotter
Marmalade wharf has now gone to a new home. I never operated the layout and it was just taking up loads of space in my very small train room so it's gone now. I might build a new layout to replace it but we'll see.
