swisspeat
Hello, I have a Liliput OBB 2060 two axle HO scale loco (L132471) that runs really well indeed but the interior of the cab is the same red plastic as the body and I would like to be able to paint inside the cab and add a driver. My model is about 3 years old and made in China. I say this because older versions of this loco seem to be made differently. I have read the instructions but there is very little in them about body removal. I have removed the couplings etc. Nothing budges. I have tried prizing open the sides of the loco body but the sides do not even move! The body must be removable but I am struggling at the moment. Does anyone know anything please that might help? Thanks very much indeed. Kind regards, Peter
duff man
Hi Peter. I have just checked how I got into mine, I placed a very small jewel screwdriver between the body and the cab steps and prized the body outward which then allowed the body to lift, I then removed the clear plastic lens from the rear bulkhead which then enabled the cab to drop down. My model was brought new three years ago so I would think it would come from the same manufacturing period as yours. I agree with you on the running qualities a super little loco. If you still have problems let me know and I will bring mine along to the ARG, AGM. Hope this helps. Craig. (wolfstatt)
duff man
Peter, Just a footnote, the running plate is part of the chassis the body should lift from the running plate leaving the chassis/running plate as one piece. Craig.
