RMweb Gold 198120 Posted March 2, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 2, 2019 Hi Just fitted Bif sound to a Backman Class 37. Rewired the functions on an ESU1568 adapter plate, so now the rear lights are on auxiliary 1 and 2, function buttons 19 and 20. The problem is when using function button 19, rear lights are on when stationery but go out as soon as the loco moves. So does anyone know the CV's I need to use to stop this happening. I presume this was when F19 controlled the cab lights. Cheers, Neil
Nigelcliffe
Its complex to do from first principles without loco in hand. So, one of (a) time with the ESU manual, look at page 50-56 and work out which line in the mapping table (page 52) is relevant (which might mean reading in quite a few CVs to confirm things), then make adjustments to the relevant block in the table, ( b ) use some computer software connected to a programming track, either JMRI, or an ESU LokProgrammer, to read the decoder's current settings and then make the adjustments (fairly simple to do, though it will take JMRI half an hour or more to read in the 640CVs involved), ( c ) email Biffo / DC Kits to find out what settings were used originally and how to change them. legomanbiffo
Neil, Sorry for the slow response. If you change the following CV’s, in order, it will take off the auto fade-out on F19 and the cab light switch sound associated with it (which isn’t on F20, so it just makes them the same); cv31 to 16 cv32 to 3 cv385 to 0 cv400 to 0 Hope this helps, Bif
