This thread replaces a short thread started when the layout had no working name.

Bardun will replace Troutons. It is to be built to the same footprint of 25 ft by 12 ft and will take a Team of 3 per Shift to operate. The layout will be financed by the club and owned by the club with stock being privately supplied for exhibition running. The layout is due to debut at Wakefield in November 2021.

Current plan has a double track main line with an UP relief line. The main feature will be a cement works complex and household waste transfer site.

Added graffiti and first stage cement dust to a couple of the wagons. Decals on one side only to allow wagons to look different on the trains. Aim to remove part of the decal that is obscuring the TOPS  panel as if partial attempt to clean the wagon.

Progress has been slow and with the lockdown access to the clubrooms has not been allowed. More research has been carried out and with the help of fellow Rmweb members and twitter more information has been collected which will improve the completed layout. Many thanks for the info and images, much appreciated.

Started on the big cement loader which along with the silos will be a dominant Features of the layout.

basic structure completed and now needs cladding in corrugated sheeting.

With the club rooms still being closed due to c virus then attention and effort into making the main feature of the layout, the cement loader. Biggest building I have ever made. Plasticard construction. Will need Chris’s airbrushing skills to make it come alive as very slab sided. Recent photos provided by fellow modellers and an aerial shot have made the task easier in picking out important features. Thank you for your help.
