RMweb Gold BR Blue Posted May 28, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 28, 2019 Can someone tell me what is the timeframe for the Total livery versions and the grey ones. I see the grey ones have petroleum sector markings which puts them about 1987 and onwards. Thanks

Thanks BR Blue, the Total livery covers the period from when the wagons were first built right up until they got very dirty! The plain grey was from the early 1990s when some tankers ran without any logo as per the below photo by Neil Harvey: Sir Christopher On The Rectory Tanks. by Neil Harvey 156, on Flickr Hope that helps. RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted July 8, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 8, 2019 (edited) Looks like these ? taken on one of 47401’s last days before withdrawal, shortly after being painted from all over Blue with large logo, after being named “Star of the East”. The green shade used was the same as D1842 as preserved, not the true 1960’s variant. Edited May 9, 2021 by adb968008

I've just ordered 6 today... sorry it took so long to getting round to this. It got me looking at photos of the three daily Immingham to Langley flows and looking these up in Freightfax from 1991. Almost all of them feature your tanks plus a few other types including TTAs, TUAs and other build codes of TEA. I like this photo best (from Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/freightcarkid/9269784335/): Guy
