Just watch for the plethora of speed cameras in the middle of nowhere, and 3 sets in Waterhouses, on the A52 Ashbourne to Leek. Max speed on that stretch is 50mph with various bits down to 30 and 40 and they enforce them. Of course if you use this road regularly you'll already know of them.

Is your memory going Phil? If you do "use this road regularly", you'll know it becomes the A523 after the A52 turns off the Stoke west of Swinscoe.

dunno if im gonna make it now, my train should have left wellingborough an hour ago and is still stood there, will have to see how quick toton can deal with me and then assess the weather "over the tops" as its been sleety right the away across the A50 between crewe and loughborough so i dont fancy the higher road back to macclesfield
