A place to watch trains

Hi everyone. Today I managed to put the grass scatter down on the embankment area. Look really good with a bit of greenery added.

Next will be to put up a fence along the front of the embankment and to add foliage, some railway items and workmen.

Thanks for all the likes and comments, not much happening at the moment as I’m waiting for a loco to arrive for my diorama. I still need to add tufts of grass and the odd line side item which has been left lying around.:good_mini:

Hi everyone I’m really enjoying modelling this diorama. Today I have been busy painting a couple of oil drums and positioning them on the diorama. The tufts of grass bring the whole thing to life.

The bank side will have a few members of the public having a picnic. The loco I will be using I’m still waiting for from Hornby, it’s the yellow network rail loco.

Excellent job - I like how you've made good use of the workmen's poses in this scene. I think the bufferstop should be somewhat more overgrown and there might be a few oily puddles, especially around the barrels - other than that, it's fantastic what you've achieved in this minuscule area.

Hi TechnicArrow thanks for the nice comments, it’s always nice when another pair of eyes can see a few things that I have not thought of and this can be added.

I will be adding the bits you have mentioned.:good_mini::D

James thank you for your kind words, I’m not sure about exhibition standard but I do like my model railway dioramas.:D

You are not alone! I also happen to like dioramas especially ones that feature an Airfix/Revell Fighter plane model.

Hi today I have been concentrating on the area around the oil drums and the middle of the track where oil and muck Would have accumulated.

Im on nights tonight so tomorrow my trees and flower foliage should arrive and more modelling will commence.

Afternoon fellow modellers. Today I have been busy completing the overgrown buffer stop area.

The embankment has now sprouted a silver birch tree and some lovely yellow flowering ground cover.

I pleased with this little diorama, a few more tiny bits of detail to add along with a wagon and 04 diesel loco.

Great modelling OOman! Only just caught up with this topic, because I have been a bit busy, over the last month, to keep up with everyone's projects on the Forum. Delighted to see the finished diorama! :)

Hi Marly51 many thanks for the kind words. I know I have been modelling this diorama for a while now but I like to make certain the last bit of detail is added. Apart from waiting for my loco for this diorama I can safely say it’s more or less finished.:D
