Im roughly up to 12 Bachmann 47 with V4 sounds, but im now fitting all of them out with Rail exclusive "chunkey twin bass speakers.

They realy sound this bizz...

Great mod, which doesn't involve milling out the chassis..

That's starting to look the part, how did you get that effect?

Steve.

this is the 1st stage.

Ive carefuly scratched away at the loco body with Stanley knife blade,

then carefuly infilled with Tamiya light grey paint.

Nice work Neil!

You might want to think about buffer beam detail and brake actuating arms though. Its a shame to go to the trouble of adding wire loops and detailing for it not to be correct.

The Bachmann model as it comes has an original ETH jumper fitted under the RH buffer as you look at the loco head on - that needs to come off any 47/0 (eg 47035) or 47/3, the Bacchy one best represents the early ETH as fitted to D1500-19 - if doing a later 47/4 the jumper lead will be in a different position.

As for air control, brake and steam heat pipes they will vary from loco to loco dependant on era and configuration - this thread may help with identifying the different pipes

And theres a useful thread on the brake actuating arms here -

Hope that helps
