RMweb Gold sjp23480 Posted August 18, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 18, 2022 MY aunt and uncle lived in Vicarage Road, near the girls grammar school. Leading to obligatory visits to Railmail if they were open. Happy days!

His prices were certainly very competitive. The did, they were in Parnie St in Glasgow, close to Glasgow Cross where the shop had opened whilst they were still in Watford. I don't know when Watford closed but I'm pretty sure Parnie St was still there in 1987 and may well have lasted well beyond that.
Nearholmer
The first iteration of Harrow Model Shop, near the Met station, gets mentioned way back up-thread. Does any one know when it first opened?
CKPR
I was using some of my stock of Vollmer embossed card the other day and noticed the price sticker for the much missed Arts & Crafts Studio in Chester with it's marvellous downstairs model department. Quite coincidently, I bought some more Vollmer embossed card last week from the ever excellent Hereford Model Centre and was £2 a sheet rather than 85p
