I'm a thousand miles away from home just waitin' for a train... So, I've started with something 8" square, well, 7 3/4" actually. And then I drew some lines on it. Aha! Platforms. It's based on this photo, So, where is Orvieto? well until a week or so ago I'd never heard of it but it's an ancient city just about in the middle of Italy with a small railway station about an hour from Rome on the train. I'm a thousand miles away from home just waitin' for a train... Well, yes, it is about a thousand miles away from home. There's no connection between Orvieto and the song (Don't think Jimmie Rodgers worked on the railways in Italy!) but anyway, here's the song that inspired this whole thing. 7 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
