ISTR you could have nets only or nets & arms i.e. you wouldn't have one with arms only? I also remember that some mk1s had offset BS gangways to work with the earlier types, before it was decided to go with the standard Pullman gangway. Thinking about that more, I could see it being more common/important to pick mail up (nets), but how common was it to have it dropped off (arms)? Did things differ much between the pre-nat companies? (I realise there are various books about the Mail/TPO trains, just looking for a wee bit more info courtesy of RMWeb) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
