Trueclaret
Having been a keen rmweb watcher for a few years I thought it was time that I made my own contribution. My layout is S scale and was built about 10 years ago. It is meant to show a rundown area at the end of steam, much as I remember it, around NE lancs. It has appeared at several shows but not in the last few years. I will try to post further details later. 11
south_tyne
Looks like a cracking layout. It seems you have captured that rundown, neglected atmosphere of a goods-only backwater in the 1960s perfectly. All the better for being something a bit different too. It is an oft repeated cliche (and I do apologise because you have probably heard it so many times) but S scale always seems like the perfect size - gives that extra bulk and opportunity for detailing compared to 4mm scale without being as space hungry as 0 gauge. I for one would love to see more if you have any further details and photos to share
